Howard Drive PTA needs you! Volunteers are the backbone of Howard Drive Elementary School. Our children count on you and no effort is too small or too big. Our strength is in the people who care enough to give their time. Volunteer opportunities are continuously available and we can always find something that will fit your schedule and abilities. Please contact us if you are able to help as new positions come available every week.
We are currently in need of volunteers for the following events:
Fun Fair Committee • Now – November 14
Responsible for helping to organize the annual Fun Fair, the largest fundraiser of the year. Will be seeking sponsors to fund the cost of rides and will solicit local businesses for prizes for the silent auction. Will need to be available to work the Fun Fair on Saturday, October 18th.

Red Ribbon Week • November 23–29
Responsible for helping to decorate the school and plan activities to promote the message of a Drug Free School.

Canned Food Drive • November 16–20
Responsible for organizing collection of canned food items to benefit families in need – sending out solicitation for items, coordinate collection with classroom teachers, and create baskets after food is collected.
A.C.T. (Assistants For Classroom Teachers ) • All Year
ACT is responsible for fund raising to supplement our teaching staff with classroom assistants. Responsibilities include helping with fundraisers such as After School popcorn sales, bake sales, pizza sales, organizing fundraising events such as movie night, etc.
